The SFU Cheerleading club hosts two teams: the Red Team and the White Team. In addition to their competitive season, both teams cheer at various SFU sports games such as football and basketball. Red Team competes at the PCA Nationals annually and both teams compete at a competition in the spring that is decided on seasonally.
Some stats...
Red Team placed 4th at PCA Nationals in both 2005 and again last year, making SFU the first team outside of Ontario to ever break top 5 in the Large Co-ed category. In 2005, Red Team placed 1st at Best of the West. Last year both teams competed at the first Sea to Sky Cheerleading Championships right here in Vancouver. Red Team Placed first and White Team placed third in the collegiate division. We are looking forward to another great season!
